About
Hi I’m Rich. I am an Industrial Designer, Design Engineer, Project Manager, Practical Thinker, Life Hacker, and constant DIY’er
I have created and managed hundreds if not thousands of projects, working on small-scale products to multi-million dollar industrial systems. Solving problems daily.
When I left school I was unsure of what I wanted to do, like a lot of people I didn’t really know where to start, but being very practical and logical I followed in my father’s footsteps and join an aerospace company as an apprentice mechanical Engineer.
Since then, I have worked in the Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, and Food Industries.
Using the skills I have learned designing, building, and problem-solving, I set up my own business, I have owned, renovated (well . . . more like completely gutted them and started from scratch), and made a living renting properties.
Making mistakes
When I first started trying to fix things, I made mistakes and got things wrong, it was frustrating and cost both time and money, but I learned from my mistakes, building my knowledge and experience to do better.
Creating The DIY Help Desk
I set up The DIY Help Desk as a place to help others and share the knowledge that I learned to make things easier and quicker and help you avoid the same mistakes I made.
So where ever you are in your journey, let’s get together and help solve problems, let me know what you are having issues with. Let’s get started
